The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)has accused Tron founder Justin Sun and three of his companies of unregistered securities offerings in the form of Tron (TRX) and BitTorrent (BTT) tokens.
According to the statement, the defendants recruited a number of celebrities in the scheme to promote the assets for an undisclosed fee.
In this regard, the SEC brought charges of illegal promotion of TRX and/or BTT:
💋 actress Lindsay Lohan;
💋 video blogger Jake Paul;
💋 rappers Akon (Alian Thiam) and Soulja Boy (Deandre Cortez Way);
💋 singers Austin Mahone and Ne-Yo;
💋 porn star Kendra Lust (Michelle Mason);
💋 hip-hop artist Lil Yachty (Miles Parks McCollum).
